ตามที่เคยประกาศไว้ มือถือ Jolla รุ่นแรกจะเริ่มขายวันนี้ (27 พ.ย.) ในประเทศฟินแลนด์เป็นที่แรก

เบื้องต้นสินค้า Jolla ล็อตแรกๆ จะยังมีจำนวนไม่เยอะนัก แต่ผู้ก่อตั้งบริษัท Marc Dillon ก็ให้สัมภาษณ์กับ BBC ว่าจะเร่งกำลังการผลิตมากขึ้นในเร็ววัน เขายังเน้นว่าจุดขายของ Jolla คือการเป็นแพลตฟอร์มเปิดมากกว่า Android และต้องการสร้างทางเลือกให้แก่ผู้ใช้

Geoff Blaber นักวิเคราะห์จากบริษัท CCS ประเมินว่า Jolla ตั้งใจขายมือถือเพื่อเปิดตลาดเท่านั้น แต่เป้าหมายที่แท้จริงคือการขายสิทธิการใช้งานระบบปฏิบัติการให้ผู้ผลิตฮาร์ดแวร์รายอื่นๆ (ที่อยากหนีจาก Android) และ Jolla ก็อาจไปได้ดีในฟินแลนด์ในฐานะผู้สืบทอดเจตนารมณ์ของโนเกีย (ยุคก่อนขายกิจการมือถือให้ไมโครซอฟท์)

ในโอกาสที่วางขายมือถือครั้งแรก Jolla ก็ออกโฆษณาตัวใหม่ (ที่ผมว่าดูไม่ค่อยรู้เรื่อง) มาด้วยครับ
