ชอบลุงมาก กลับมาทำให้ Apple น่ากินมากขึ้นสิครับ

ไม่ค่อยชอบ ลุงคนนี้เท่าไหร่

แต่ถ้ามาเป็นคนเสริมให้ระบบเปิดมากขึ้นก็ดีนะ แนวคิดนี้

ถ้า apple เปิดมากขึ้น ผมอาจจะขอเป็นลูกค้าบ้าง

คงจะยาก แอปเปิ้ลเคยลองระบบเปิดแล้ว สมัยนั้นเครื่องแมคโคลนออกมาเต็มเลย
ปรากฎว่าไม่ได้ช่วยให้แอปเปิ้ลขายโอเอสได้เงินมากซักเท่าไหร่ แอปเปิ้ลทำท่าจะเจ๊ง
เพราะรายได้ซอฟแวร์ไม่มากพอที่จะรองรับรายได้ฮาร์ดแวร์ที่ลดลง
ต่างจากไมโครซอฟท์ที่กำไรบานเบอะ จำนวนก็อปปี้ที่ขายมีผลมากต่อรายได้ของบ.ซอฟแวร์
เพราะซอฟแวร์มีต้นทุนพัฒนาสูงแต่ต้นทุนต่อก็อปปี้ต่ำ ถ้าขายจำนวนก๊อปปี้ไม่ได้มากจะไม่พอรองรับต้นทุนพัฒนา
พอจ๊อบมาก็เลิกทำ

การที่แอปเปิ้ลสามารถผลิตสินค้าใหม่ๆ ออกสู่ตลาดได้ดีช่วงนี้ น่าจะเกิดจากการเค้นกำไรออกมาให้ได้มากที่สุดจากส่วนต่างๆ
เพื่อเอามาชดเชยจุดด้อยของสินค้าใหม่ นั่นก็คือราคา ซึ่งเป็นโมเดลเดียวกับที่บริษัทเครื่องเล่นเกมส์ใช้
เช่น การหากำไรจากการขายเพลงในไอพอด หรือการผูกกับเครือข่ายในไอโฟน คิดว่าแอปเปิ้ลกำลังพยายามขายหนังสือและแอปอื่นๆในไอแพด (ที่มาของค่าการตลาด 30%)

คู่หู มาแล้ว

แล้วแกออกไปด้วยเหตุผลอะไรครับ

ถ้าแกกลับมาคุม apple
โอกาสที่ผมจะย้ายเป็นเป็นสาวกมีสูงแหะ

"When I first saw this story posted on another forum, I emailed Woz and asked him if he wanted to "weigh-in" on this topic.

Below are his comments, which he graciously allowed me to re-post (actually, his exact words were "PLEASE do that for me!" So, without further ado, here is what WOZ has to say:

When I first saw the headlines it was just another totally wrong one. I did an interview in Brighton the other day with this female Reuters journalist. The entire interview was about Fusion-io, at the SQLbits European conference, with myself and David Flynn, our CEO. At the end she asked about whether I'd return to Apple and I thought and said "no" and told her some reasons it was impossible. So she sits there and asks "with all the exciting things going on at Apple, would you consider going back?"...I said "yes" but explained that it could not happen. What you read is based on the one "yes". So I didn't read a single article about it. I was on planes and am writing a speech now for a humanist award I'm receiving tonight in Boston and don't have time to get into this one. Too bad.

This reporter took notes by hand but I think the Fusion-io publicist Shannon might have recorded it."

ผมเชื่อมันในจ็อบส์มากกว่านะ เพราะเห็นผลงานชัดเจนแล้ว แต่ถ้าจะกลับมาก็ให้โอกาส ก่อนอื่นต้องถามก่อนว่าสมัยที่อยู่กับแอปเปิ้ลในช่วงแรกสร้างชื่อเสียงอะไรไว้บ้างโดยตัดเรื่องกำเนิดออกไป จะมั่นใจกับระบบเปิดได้ขนาดไหน

เกือบปิดบริษัทเพราะระบบเปิดในสมัยหนึ่งนั่นแหละ...
