QA Manager (Gaming)

About the Role:

The Quality Assurance Manager plays a key part of the development process, operation and ensures the quality of our products across products on Facebook, iOS, Android, Amazon and the Web. The ideal candidate is a champion for our international company and will have an in-depth understanding of both functional and subjective testing. The QA Manager will be familiar with a variety of testing methodologies, including: compatibility testing, performance testing, result driven development, and player behavior driven development.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of QA testers and customer services employees to ensure delivery of high-quality games
    Identify relevant quality-related training needs and delivering measurable results
  • Define, drive, implement and maintain test plans for each project to make sure high quality test policies and standards are met
  • Strategize to provide solutions that enables the QA team to solve problems efficiently
  • Raise the bar on traditional quality assurance solutions and execution strategies to minimize risk to games on all platforms
  • Manage and coordinate test efforts with QA teams located across a global company
  • Work with all team members to ensure accurate and timely testing of all projects
  • Support the team to report bugs, resolve issues, and manage regression tasks with thorough testing diligence
  • Guide the team to maintain JIRA, record bugs, communicate test results and assign responsibilities as necessary
  • Work across all departments and locations to efficiently manage issue resolution and provide clarity into bug frequency and reproduction steps
  • Provide day-to-day updates and transparency on outstanding bug status for multiple projects to the team leads and executive management
  • Manage communication with all team members, team leads and executive management
  • Make impactful tactical direction and operational decisions

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3-5 yrs. experience as a QA manager in the gaming or similar industry
  • Must have directly managed 10+ QA staff under organization in previous role
  • Superior English skills are required; spoken, written and comprehension
  • Excellent troubleshooting and issue management skills is a must
  • Ability to work against tight deadlines with minimal supervision and deliver against company goals
  • Respond effectively to multiple frequently changing priorities and requirements
  • Knowledge of live operations, development and QA cycles in the gaming industry or similar
  • Must be able to provide solutions in a quick change environment
  • Highly collaborative with a willingness to assist others
  • Must be Thai national

Good to Have:

  • Experience with Facebook, iOS and Android hardware and software
  • Proficiency in JIRA, Agile SCRUM methodology is preferred
  • An understanding of working with Western style games is a huge plus
