Responsibilities

• Define and refine database standards
-Backup Strategy
-Disaster Recovery
-Data Replication Strategy
-Database Configuration
-Runbook / Work Instructions

• Database review and tuning
-Configuration
-T-SQL Scripts
-Performance
-Capacity Management

• Architecture and design review.
• Incident Investigation and Resolution.
• Develop tools for DBA team using T-SQL.
• Expert-level interaction with 3rd-parties (other teams, vendors).

Qualifications

•Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer/Electrical Engineer, Information Technology or related field
- A minimum of 3 years working as a SQL DBA or similar capacity that allows frequent exposure and interaction with SQL server 2005 and/or 2008.
•Previous experience with high-availability configuration is a plus, particularly on replication.
•Can code comfortably in T-SQL.
•Good knowledge in Windows and Networking.
•MCSE, MCDBA or MCTIP - SA/DBA certifications are a plus.
•Good English communication.
